The king bed was comfortable, and the spacious shower had plenty of hot water. The beach was just a short walk away, and my son loved seeing the fairy penguins at night. The staff were friendly and accommodating, and we felt it was great value for our family getaway.

I loved superb views!
The hotel was great and lovely in general, had amazingly attentive staff at explaining what was happening or where to go. My twin room had modern conveniences, including a lounge and a very good kitchen. The breakfast offered a huge variety of savoury meals. The location of the venue was very central, really close to overgrown tennis court, the Diamond Island " Resort " viewing platform and an amazing beach. Cafe Eat was 100 metres away from the place.

Chur, the beach access was sweet as, but the room felt a bit basic and the pillows were rock hard. The penguins made it all worth it, though!

Loved the penguins, the proximity to the beach, and the rooms were outstanding. The restaurant was great - food was delicious (including the kids meals). Breakfast in the morning was also great. Provision of library, and board games was a nice touch also. as well as the cameras showing the penguins nesting on the property.
We didn't have anything outstanding that we didn't like. It was all good.

The views were absolutely stunning and it was a treat to be so close to the beach. I was particularly impressed with the penguin tour, even though only a few came up. The area around Diamond Island offered incredible walks, and seeing wildlife, including rabbits and a deer, made the stay even more special. The apartment was clean and tidy, which contributed to a pleasant experience overall.

The food and service in the restaurant was good and the location was above a nice beach and small island area. The owners talk about the fairy penguins that come on the property each night and guests can watch was excellent.
Sleeping on a single mattress on the floor for $400 a night because the small airconditioner was not working as it was too hot to sleep upstairs, was a huge disapointment. My husband even had slater bugs crawling over him during the night. Could not call this place a resort..especially for couples.. even though it is advertised as such. While the decor has been upgraded...dont know why the spa is in the living area with no privacy... it is still a seventies style of building and not suited to couples. The second very small bedroom can only sleep children in single beds and you have to walk through the main bedroom to get to it with only a curtain for privacy. A second fan up there would have improved it a bit. The tarrif on the room was the highest we paid in the state and the least favourable of all our accommodation. The owner did not offer a reduced rate or apology even when he knew we had slept on the floor. I would not recommend this place to any fellow travellers.
